Will these actually be wide enough?
They are cut on a broad last through the forefoot, and the upper gives where your foot is widest. If you have extra-wide feet or a bunion, take one size up β the fit guide has a diagram for each foot shape.
How do I measure my foot?
Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall. Mark the tip of your longest toe, then measure from the wall to the mark. Match that number to the foot length column in the fit guide. Measure at the end of the day, when your feet are at their largest.
My feet swell during the day β will these still fit?
That's what the give in the upper is for. It expands through the day rather than pressing back. If you swell a lot, take the larger size.

Most flats are cut for a foot that doesn't exist.
Narrow through the toes, unforgiving across the joint, and by three in the afternoon you are walking differently just to keep them on. If you have bunions, or feet that spread, or feet that swell by evening, you already know the trade: shoes that look right, or shoes that feel right. Never both.

Room where it actually hurts
Most flats narrow to a point, which puts every step's pressure on the joint at the base of your big toe. This one is cut broad through the forefoot instead, so your toes sit the way they sit when you're barefoot.
Nothing about that shows from the outside. It still reads as a ballet flat β which is the point.
Corduroy that gives
The upper is fine-wale corduroy: soft, brushed, and with enough give to move over a bunion instead of pressing against it. Cotton-backed, so it breathes on a warm day rather than trapping heat.
It also creases and softens with wear, the way corduroy does. After a fortnight it takes on the shape of your foot.
Flat, all the way through
No arch pushing up into your foot, no heel lift. Just an even cushioned bed under the whole sole and a thin outsole that bends when you walk rather than fighting you.
That's deliberate. An aggressive medical arch helps some feet and hurts others; a level footbed works for far more people.
One strap, set once
The buckle is there to hold the shoe on, not to be fastened every morning. Set it to your instep once and step in and out from then on β no bending, no hands.
If your feet swell through the afternoon, move it out one hole. It stays where you put it.
